Achille Castiglioni “Aoy” Table/Floor Lamp for Flos, 1975, First Edition

Double use Table/Floor lamp AOY, designed by Achille Castiglioni, features a clear glass cylindrical outer body, a white opal glass diffuser/reflector is inside the cylinder on the top part of the body.

The lamp is made from hand-blown glass—there are no metal pieces involved.
Offering diffused light, this lamp offers a bonus for its feline fans: Castiglioni included an opening on the bottom that creates a snug, warm space that cats will love to curl up in.
