A stunning hand-painted ceramic vase by Ernan of Albisola, Italy, dating to the 1940s. Featuring an elegant baroque silhouette with a wide flared rim and bulbous body, the piece is richly decorated in traditional blue and white maiolica.
One side presents a lyrical scene with two flying putti surrounded by stylized foliage and floating clouds. On the reverse, a finely painted architectural fantasy depicts a cascading hilltown crowned by towers — all framed by decorative scrolling vegetation. A delicate frieze of rocaille motifs runs around the base and lip, uniting the design with rhythmic grace.
Signed “ERNAN ALBISOLA” on the underside.
