Hexagonal Wall Sconces by Albano Poli for Poliarte, Italy, 1960s

A rare and visually commanding pair of wall sconces by Albano Poli for Poliarte, crafted in Italy during the 1960s. Defined by bold geometries and rich material contrast, each sconce features a hexagonal blue chrome frame housing thick sculptural glass.

The translucent glass prisms — raw, textured, and architectonic — refract light, playing off the metallic gleam of the surrounding structure. A fusion of Brutalist impulse and Italian decorative sophistication.

Condition:
Glass elements are perfect, with small imperfections visible only internally — these do not affect functionality or visual appeal. The metal structure shows signs of age and surface wear, as documented in the photos. Recently rewired and fully functional.
