Pair of Bamboo and Rattan Armchairs with Bouclé Dedar Milano Cushions, 1970s

This beautiful pair of bamboo and rattan armchairs, crafted in the 1970s, is a perfect example of the neo-liberty style from that period.
The graceful and airy design of the woven rattan is enhanced by elegant cushions upholstered in white bouclé fabric from Dedar Milano.

Attributed to the renowned Anglo-Saxon designer McGuire, who worked in Rome during the 1970s in a style similar to that of the well-known Italian architects Gabetti and Isola from Turin. McGuire’s influence is evident in the flowing lines and the use of natural materials, reminiscent of the work of Paolo Portoghesi.
