Pair of Large Wall Sconces by Archimede Seguso for Seguso Vetri d’Arte, 1940s

A luminous relic from 1940s Italy — this extraordinary pair of wall sconces was produced by Seguso Vetri d’Arte, one of Murano’s most iconic glassworks, designed by Archimede Seguso, whose vision helped define the golden era of Venetian lighting.

Each sconce features a large, scalloped bowl in thick, hand-blown Murano glass — fluid, crystalline, and rich with refraction — supported by a stepped bracket in deeply patinated brass. The glass radiates a soft, diffused glow that feels both architectural and organic, like water suspended in air.
