An extraordinary pair of Murano glass wall sconces, produced by Vistosi in the 1960s and discovered in an untouched state, still in their original packaging — a rare find that bridges time and craftsmanship. These large-scale wall lights feature a cascade of hand-blown glass elements, each organically textured like molten ice and arranged in vertical layers.
Their color shifts between smoky grey and pale green, depending on the angle of light and perspective — a subtle chromatic play that enhances their sculptural depth. What makes this pair truly exceptional is their provenance: they were never used nor mounted before arriving in our gallery.
They come complete with their original printed mounting instructions, preserved inside an aged paper envelope, and include spare glass pieces, still wrapped in vintage paper marked “Ricambi”. This romantic layer of history — this attention to detail frozen in time — speaks of a manufacturing culture that valued care, elegance, and longevity.
The design is airy yet majestic, combining transparency and mass in a vertical rhythm that recalls falling water or layered leaves. A luminous statement for collectors and design lovers alike.
