A bold expression of Italian postmodernism, this set of six “Quinta 605” armchairs was designed by renowned architect Mario Botta and produced by Alias around 1980. With their sculptural lines and industrial elegance, these chairs stand as enduring icons of late 20th-century design.
Each chair features a seat and backrest made from perforated and folded sheet metal, finished in glossy black lacquer. The strong, architectural form is punctuated by curved chromed tubular steel armrests, which soften the silhouette and add visual tension through contrast in material and line.
One chair in the set retains the original Alias manufacturer’s label. The set is in good vintage condition and will receive conservative touch-up restoration before shipping, ensuring both authenticity and presentation quality.
