TOTEMO are architectural stools designed and produced by FORME — a refined study in volume, balance, and material contrast. Conceived as compact yet powerful presences, they embody the current language of tactile minimalism and form-led contemporary interiors.
The design is defined by pure cylindrical bodies, generous and softly rounded, fully upholstered in luxurious ivory bouclé by Dedar Milano. The textured surface — rich, tactile, and subtly irregular — captures light with gentle tonal variations, enhancing the clarity of the form without unnecessary embellishment.
With a generous diameter of 47 cm and a height of 48 cm, TOTEMO offer substantial proportions and exceptional comfort. The wider seat enhances usability, making them suitable not only as accent pieces but as truly functional and comfortable stools.
The upholstered volumes rest on three sharply profiled legs crafted from solid ashwood, finished in a deep mahogany tone. The three-point structure creates a precise geometric rhythm and elegant negative spaces between the supports, giving the pieces visual lightness despite their generous mass. The contrast between the soft bouclé and the structured wooden base establishes a sophisticated dialogue between comfort and architectural precision.
Balanced from every perspective, TOTEMO feel grounded yet elevated — pieces that anchor a room quietly while maintaining a strong material identity.
This model is also available with legs finished in walnut tone.
The stools are fully customizable and available COM (Customer’s Own Material) upon request, allowing bespoke upholstery solutions for residential or contract projects. In the case of COM, the upholstery labor cost is included in the listed price of the stools with no additional surcharge. Please allow approximately 3 additional weeks for production when selecting a custom fabric.
