An extraordinary and iconic pair of large wall lights, model 1461 from the celebrated ‘Dahlia’ series, designed by Max Ingrand for Fontana Arte in the 1950s. Among the designer’s most recognizable and sought-after works, these sconces embody the purity and theatricality of Italian mid-century lighting.
Each fixture features two sculptural glass blades — one in a soft salmon-pink hue, the other in crystal-clear glass accented with subtle turquoise beveling. The glass elements are elegantly curved and polished to razor-sharp precision.
The brass frame houses two candelabra sockets and retains its original wiring. It shows visible signs of age and oxidation, left intentionally untouched to preserve its warm, authentic patina. No restoration has been undertaken to maintain the original presence of the pieces.
