A pair of wall sconces attributed to Ercole Barovier for Barovier & Toso, dating to the 1940s. Each piece is crafted in hand-blown Murano glass with bellflower-shaped diffusers.
The clear, scalloped glass shades — both delicate and architectural — rest on stepped brass brackets that feature a distinctive Art Déco design, typical of Barovier’s refined aesthetic of the period. The brass has developed a deep, rich patina over time, enhancing the sculptural geometry of the arms.
The original Murano glass is in good vintage condition, with no cracks and only minor age-appropriate signs of wear. Both sconces have been recently rewired for European use and are also fully functional in the US.
Two matching pairs are available (four sconces total).
