An iconic and rare pair of large-scale wall lights by Max Ingrand for Fontana Arte, produced around 1963. These sculptural sconces embody the refined material sensibility and modernist clarity that made Ingrand one of the most celebrated glass and lighting designers of the 20th century.
Each piece is composed of a hemispherical brass shell, cut with sharp asymmetrical openings that reveal an internal white opaline diffuser. The contrast between the glowing white interior and the deeply patinated brass exterior creates a sense of tension and softness, lightness and weight — a visual balance that is both functional and poetic.
The original patina has been carefully preserved, showcasing a warm aged character that adds depth and authenticity to the brass surface.
