Rare “380” Floor Lamp by Giuseppe Ostuni & Renato Forti for Oluce, Italy, 1960s

A highly technical and avant-garde design for its time, this floor lamp by Giuseppe Ostuni & Renato Forti for Oluce (Italy, circa 1960) was a true pioneer in lighting design, inspiring many later creations.

Characterized by its precision engineering and functional elegance, the lamp features a nickel-plated metal base and a brass stem, embodying a sophisticated mix of materials. The black lacquered metal cylinder at the top allows for manual height adjustment of the white cotton lampshade (ranging from 138.5 cm to 160 cm), an advanced feature for the era that enhanced both versatility and usability. This model set a benchmark in midcentury lighting design, with its clean lines and adjustable functionality, influencing countless later designs.

Conditions: Beautiful patina on the brass, adding depth and character. Original Italian plug intact. Some minor signs of wear on the base, highlighted in photos.
Dimensions: H: 168,5 cm D: 40 cm
