Rare Large 1940s Console by Paolo Buffa in Oak and Green Alpi Marble

The architectural structure of the console is particularly striking, with four geometrically arranged legs—two centrally positioned and two lateral—creating a perfect balance between strength and grace. The legs are joined by curved wooden crossbars, into which the same brass floral motif is inlaid, a signature detail found in Buffa’s works. The brass-capped feet further highlight his exquisite attention to detail, while the French Empire-style leg design is a recurring element in Buffa’s early creations, adding a timeless neoclassical touch.
