Rare Pair of Table Lamps Model 2552/2 by Josef Frank for Svenskt Tenn, Sweden

Designed in 1938 by Josef Frank for Svenskt Tenn, this rare pair of table lamps, model 2552/2, showcases the refined ingenuity and lyrical elegance of Frank’s vision for modern lighting.

Each lamp is composed of a slender brass stem anchored on a circular base supported by three delicately curved feet. The brass surfaces present a beautiful, natural patina consistent with age, further enhancing their authenticity and charm.

The lamps are fitted with newly made shades in organic white cotton, crafted to honor the spirit of the originals. Ingeniously, the shades rest directly on the bulb via an internal frame, a system conceived by Frank that allows the shades to rotate and tilt freely.
