Round Cherry Wood Coffee Table by Paolo Buffa for Arrighi Serafino, Cantù, 1950s

An elegant coffee table designed by Paolo Buffa and produced by Arrighi Serafino in Cantù in the 1950s. Crafted in solid cherry wood, the piece combines refined proportions with the artisanal sophistication of Italian mid-century design.

Its circular smoked glass top rests on a curved wooden frame, revealing the intricate lower shelf composed of a gridded lattice in matching cherry. The structure is supported by three gracefully tapered legs, each flowing upward into a stylized scroll motif—a hallmark of Buffa’s poetic and zoomorphic design language.

Recently restored by our in-house restoration team, the piece has been carefully refinished to revive the warmth and richness of the original wood while preserving its patina and authenticity.
