Pair of Important Wall Sconces by Barovier & Toso, Italy, 1970s

A magnificent pair of wall sconces by Barovier & Toso, crafted in Murano in the 1970s. These pieces embody the timeless dialogue between Venetian glass artistry and refined architectural design.

Each sconce features an Art Deco–inspired brass structure with a warm, naturally aged patina that speaks to its history and authenticity. The arms extend with linear precision, supporting grand, hand-blown glass shades of remarkable thickness and clarity. The glass, in a delicate golden tone, shimmers with fine controlled bubbles and hand-pinched morise details along the edges.

Entirely handmade by a master glassblower, each piece is subtly different in proportion and form, reflecting the organic perfection of artisanal creation rather than industrial uniformity.
