Rare and fully authentic pair of wall sconces designed by Tomaso Buzzi for Venini in the early 1930s. Characterized by fluted, hand-blown Murano glass diffusers — evoking feathers or abstracted leaves — and finely cast brass mounts with shell-like rosettes.
The glass features a delicate spiral texture that captures light elegantly, even when off. Each element is assembled without screws or tension, relying on balance and form. The brass mounts retain their original, untouched patina, enhancing their sculptural presence.
Unrestored and in excellent original condition. No damage to the glass. Wiring is original; rewiring for EU standards available on request.
A rare example of Buzzi’s poetic modernism — ideal for collectors of early Italian design.
