An iconic example of late-20th-century Murano glass design, this sculptural floor lamp model LT316 was designed by Carlo Nason for Mazzega/Vetrerie Nason and embodies the poetic balance between technical mastery and visual softness that defines Nason’s work.
The lamp is composed of a vertical stack of hand-blown Murano glass elements in a delicate sfumato finish, where milky white glass subtly fades into translucency. The modular rhythm of the glass segments creates a strong architectural presence while diffusing light with remarkable softness and depth. When illuminated, the lamp emits a warm, atmospheric glow, transforming the glass into a luminous column that feels both sculptural and ethereal.
The internal metal structure features original brass and iron components. These have been intentionally left uncleaned to preserve the authenticity of the piece and to clearly show its age and originality. A full professional cleaning will be carried out prior to shipment. Should the buyer prefer, the oxidation on the brass and iron elements can be completely removed upon request.
The lamp retains its original Vetrerie Nason Murano label, confirming its authenticity. Original wiring is present; for safety and compliance, rewiring is recommended. Rewiring is available upon request for European standards.
